Previously known as Plaisance Airport, Mauritius Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is the main airport for the paradise island nation of Mauritius.
A new passenger Terminal was inaugurated on 12 March 2013 and was fully operational in May 2013. The structure of the New Airport Terminal is designed after the “Traveller’s palm”, a tropical plant that grows on Mauritius, it is connected to the existing terminal and have a capacity of 4 million passengers.
